Here in Branson, we are still deeply affected by the loss of Andy Williams. As you may know, Andy passed away in September and we were thrilled to have him call Branson home towards the end of his amazing life. The Moon River Theater is a staple of this community and it will serve as a constant reminder of Andy and his impact on Branson.

Branson, Missouri Christmas Show

The Moon River Theater will continue to keep the tradition of The Andy Williams Christmas Show this year as planned. The show, which started on November 1st, will continue to run through December 12th, Monday through Saturday.

Even without Andy Williams, the show will be bigger and more spectacular than ever! The show will include a tribute to Andy Williams (Mr. Christmas), plus it will have an hour of Andy Williams’ best television clips prior to the show beginning. The Andy Williams Christmas Show is in its 21st year of existence and you will feel his presence throughout the show. Prior to his passing in September, Andy Williams touched every phase of the planning of this year’s show including production, music and the selection of acts.

Here is a description of the show, as listed by the AndyWilliams.com website:

The full production show has spectacular sets, dancers, a full orchestra, lots of variety acts and the beautiful music and sounds of Christmas all presented in the spectacularly decorated Andy Williams Moon River Theatre. It includes dancers, singers, a huge choir and the Andy Williams Orchestra, plus feature new performers, such as; American Idol Finalist Katie Stevens; Allen Asbury, formerly with the Bill Gaither Family Singers; 12 year old Nadia Cole and the Voices of Glory from “America’s Got Talent”; and the a cappella group, The Cat’s Pajamas who have appeared on NBC’s “The Sing Off” as well as “America’s Got Talent”. This year’s production will also return popular acts from last year’s show, including; Adagio dance team and quick change artists, Pasha & Aliona who will include a brand new act never before seen on any stage; The Lennon Brothers with Gail Lennon, Mike Cathcart, The World’s Fastest Fiddler – Dean Church; and singer-impressionist Bob Anderson.
